Jem fashion makeup has come full circle!

So this week Sephora.com is touting the new look for spring: purple eye makeup is everywhere. If you are young and hip, you are wearing it.

May I just point out that this look was adopted by Jem of Jem and the Holograms back in the eighties? Most fashion comes full circle, I know, and we are in the midst of an eighties revival, but I just had to point out how Jem still remains Outrageous.

I wish I could give credit to where I acquired these pics but I copied them so long ago I'm sad to say I do not remember. My apologies.

See? Jem looks great for 40. ; ) Actually, this year is the 20th anniversary from when she first went on the air in 1986. So technically, the show is 20 years old...but the character was probably in her early twenties when the show started. So yeah, she'd be hitting 40 about now. But considering that Jem is nothing but a hologram mask over Jerrica Benton's person, Jem probably wouldn't show her age one bit. She doesn't even need any updating.

Unless Synergy felt some age-appropriate tweaking was necessary...
