Wake up and smell the time change...

GOOD MORNING!!! ONLY ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!!

Sleep an extra hour now, recoup your loss for next weekend.

This image is brought to you by the people with fantasy lives powerful enough to overtake their digestive systems. Wish I belonged to that club.

This week has been good. Spring has behaved in typical groundhoggish fashion, poking its 80 degree head outside one day, scuttling back in for a breezy 58 degrees the next. (I know, I can hear the groans all the way from New England; I'm sorry to be such a THIN BLOODED Californian. But one must take pride in something.)

Meantime, I am contemplating my yearly sally forth unaccompanied by my kid. Andy has offered to send me somewhere for a few days, and I am considering my options. (Wow, am I spoiled. Thank you, Lord.)

Pinko Mommie

OOoh! Have you seen the new Pink Panther DVD cartoon collection? So much fun! I put this in the DVD player expecting to be mildly amused...surely the stuff that made me laugh from the gut in high school wouldn't be nearly as effective now? Surely I am more jaded and calm than that?

Nope.

I love them! The cartoons are wry and silly and still bust-a-gut funny. There are even two cartoons where the fuschia feline speaks, but I don't really like his voice. It is so not what I imagined it. He's funnier without it.

Still enjoyed it immensely. The collection is a great excuse to throw a party: pink champagne and trays of pink Hostess Snowballs everywhere. (Wow, the sugar headache alone would kill you.) A pink panther pinata would, upon breaking open, burst forth with pink confetti and rolls of pink "Smarties" candies. What else? Pink Jello shots?

Required attire would be obvious.

Oooo. Inspiring. But would anyone attend?

From the floor...

...of the office. Sorry, bored, had to think of something to post. So today you get to look at my mildly bemused face.

I began this blog with an excitement and anticipation of putting all my writing in one place; a neat and tidy thought. Then I realized that half of what I write is never meant to be seen by even the tiny percentage of people who perchance to read this blog, so that's why I don't post as often as I'd expected I would.
